MS/HS Principal Email Dear Randolph Families,
On behalf of our middle and high school staff, I am happy to welcome you to the 2023-24 school year! We are looking forward to a productive partnership with you to ensure our children can achieve their highest potential. As partners, we share the responsibility for our children’s success and want you to know that we will do our very best to carry out our responsibilities.
With that said, we will have a few changes in store for this year, many of them relating to the Randolph School District Safety Plan, that I would like to make you aware of.
First, we are asking that all student drivers register any vehicle they may be bringing to school This can be done through the online registration system, or by obtaining a registration sheet at Open House on Aug. 23rd or the high school office. When the registration is completed, the student driver will receive a sticker to place on the lower, left side of the back window.
Next, there will only be two (2) entrances unlocked for students to enter the building in the morning and at lunch. The doors are: door #1 at the front and door #19 to the west for bus drop off. This does mean that students who use the parking lot will have to walk around to the front of the building for entrance.
The doors will open at 7:45 with classes starting at 8:00 AM. Breakfast will continue to be served both in the cafeteria or at the cart in the resource hallway.
Lastly, we will have a new electronic hall pass system. Students actually create their own pass on their Chrome book. The teacher and office personnel will be able to see who has a pass to be out of class and for how much time. This same system will allow students (or teachers) to sign up for extra help during our Rocket Time, the last 25 minutes of each day.
I look forward to the upcoming school year with confidence and optimism. We have several new staff at the high school including English, Agriculture, Family Consumer Education and Business Education teachers that bring a wealth of experience and more opportunities for our children. Please mark your calendars for our Open House on August 23rd to get a chance to meet them all!
I am excited about all we will accomplish together for our children and community. As always, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns. Go Rockets!
Stronger Together,
Mrs. Jennifer Kurtz
